Hello everyone! 

My name is Hannah LaRue- a born and raised alaskan with a deep love for the natural beauty within the state along with a serious affinity for travel and exploration. Hence, I never stay put for long. 

Birch Bark Beads is the product of an incredible winter spent following the migration of humpback and gray whales down the Baja California Peninsula. I needed a packable small hobby for life in a souped up chevy van and beading became the perfect creative outlet for evenings after a day of scanning the horizon for blows. I realized that just because you're out doing something in nature, doesn't mean that you can't spruce things up a bit and put on some danglers. The only problem being, the ones I encountered never seemed to hold up or were too expensive for this seasonal worker to be wearing on the daily. My goal for this little business is to work to provide more durable, long lasting and adventure proof earrings for the badass outdoor ladies that inspire me daily! 

I can't begin to express my vast amount of gratitude to everyone who encouraged me to start this little business, I'm honored to be part of this incredibly wide makers community!
